The Immigration Department of Canada decided to include 48 new professions within the recognized employer permit program in Canada.
Employing foreign nationals grew through the pilot employer program
This new program enables employers in Canada to employ foreign citizens through this experimental work permit program that is recognized for an expanded list of jobs, after 84 professions were added to the employers eligible for the REP program.
Recruitment through the LMIA portal
Employers in Canada can now recruit through the LMIA online portal and send a PDF file, and they can also send an application via email to ESDC.
Employers in Canada can also use a program to submit applications for the International Mobility Program, Temporary Foreign Worker, or Express Entry program.
